We Make Mountain Goats Cry

A West Coast Alpine Ultra

The Baldy Marathons 100 Mile Challenge is the most difficult true 100 mile races in the world. Founded in 2015, this alpine sufferfest has seen a mere 7 finishers since its inception.

12 trail runners pose for a photo with their trail gear at the edge of a mountainside. You can see another mountain peak covered in snow and trees behind them, with blue skies and clouds of grey and white.

No DNF's or DNS's here.

This is a 100 Mile Challenge!
Everyone who starts can try for the 100 Miler.
However, you will also get credit for the distance that you finish (on time), for 20 miles, 50k, 40 miles, and the 100k.

A man in a red shirt and black shorts runs down a steep and rocky hill, using his trekking poles for balance. The ground is covered in grey stones of various sizes, and you can see trees in the background and at the sides of the image.

This course is ideal for the crazy runner that loves steep, technical, off trail rugged terrain.

The course is a 20 mile loop with 10,000+ feet of gain.

Not for the faint of heart, runners will summit Mt Baldy twice per loop.
This race is a fatass, ergo, no permits and all runners are self supported.

The terrain is steep, technical, and dangerous.

You will be required to sign a waiver before participating.

You can have a pacer after the 1st loop, as long as the number of runners and pacers remaining stays under 40 people.
